Week Two

Week two…. Well the days are starting to fly by now as we get more into a routine. This week wasn’t too exciting but we did help out with a few things around the project where we stay (Vision Nicaragua). We had to do some painting and they got a new water pump so we had dug a hole and trenches then mixed concrete to hold the pump. We also went to Bethel(the village we work closely with) and filled in some giant holes that they have in the road. It is rainy season here so the road gets washed out very easy. I feel that we are really starting to develop relationships and get to know the people. This is very hard because I don’t really speak any Spanish. I do have to say it is getting a little better. I am also getting better at getting around town too. I am starting to feel the tension between my squad a little because none of us are used to living with 25 other people. Saturday and Sunday a group of the youth from local villages came to do a retreat at the compound. It was very cool, but very stressful because us guys got kicked out of our room so we had nowhere to get away.  Also this week one of the guys that works here coaches a soccer team and he asked me to play on their team so this coming Saturday I will be playing in my first Nicaragua league soccer game and I am so pumped! All around I had a great week and I am ready to see what God throws at me next.
You are loved!
